TNM –The Double-Sided Roughing Geometry
ISCAR presents TRIGON 1306□□ and 0804□□ sizes to cover the roughing application range.
New design -TNM
The center of the insert is lower than the cutting edge. This geometry optimizes chip flow under all roughing conditions. A unique seat enables using both sides of the inserts. Three times more cutting edges compared to an equivalent-size CNMM insert.
A special seat is used for WNMG 0804□□-TNM inserts. It supports the corner and enables uninterrupted chip flow in roughing. The bottom side surface of the seat has a rough pattern to increase friction and prevent seat movement. This special surface structure causes better load distribution to reduce local deformation in the pocket.
